Cutomizing Toolbars This isn't really a discovery but something I thought you might not know about... You can customize the Finder Toolbar as well as some application toolbars, such as the Mail, and the Address Book... Toolbars at the top of a window help you perform certain tasks quickly by just clicking the appropriate icon in the toolbar. ---- Instruction for Customizing Toolbars can be found by clicking on the Desktop, then on Help in the Finder's menu bar. Select Mac Help and type in "CustomizeToolbar" in the search window. If you are using Tiger, select "Index" and then try clicking your way though the alphabet. You will be suprised at what other help is available right in your Macintosh. If you are using Panther just click on the many items you see listed. |

One of Apple's best-kept secrets is that it is both possible & simple to create additional iPhoto Libraries. when using iPhoto v5.0 and later. To do so: Hold down the OPTION key as you open
the iPhoto program. A dialogue box will come up offering three choices: QUIT or CREATE
LIBRARY or CHOOSE LIBRARY. (The original iPhoto Library is in your Users/Picture
folder).. These additional libraries avoid the necessity of having all iPhoto image files in a single Library. They can be used as a sort of super-album-like device to aid in the organization of one's photo image files. It would be wise to make a back up of your iPhoto library before moving your older photos to a new library.. . |
