"MAC HELP" is just a mouse click away."

Have you ever been totally baffled when your computer sends you a message that your program needs more memory, or when suddenly your computer tells you it cannot find the printer you know is there? Have you ever wanted to know how to change the name of a file or how to initilize a disk? Do you wonder where you can find answers to these question and many, many more? Well, one of the best sources of help is right in your computer...
Apple has ingeniously included "Mac Help" to answer many of the questions you might have. "Mac Help" provides an extensive index including Basics, Printing, Sound, Shortcuts, Internet/Networking, Preventing and solving problems plus many others.
"Mac Help" can be accessed only when the Finder is the active application... The quickest way to make sure the Finder is active is to click anywhere on the desktop itself. Another is to go to the Application Selector at the far right on the menu bar and select Finder..... Once you have the finder active, clicking on the question (?) mark in the menu bar of OS 7.5 or OS 7.6 or clicking on HELP on the menu bar of versions OS 8.0 or later, will then make the HELP application active.....
For those of you still using OS 7.5, or OS 7.6 with the earlier HELP window, just PRESS the TOPIC Button and then select a Topic from the topic area. If you then click on an item in the "How do I....." list at the right of the window, a new window opens with step by step instructions to do the task. As an aid a RED CIRCLE highlights the area a particular step refers to. Just proceed thru the steps to complete the task.
The following is an example of one of the help windows with the Red Circle showing you precisely what should be done next.

With the arrival of OS 8.5, Apple completely redesigned the look and feel of the Mac OS Help Application. It now works much like your browser. Once the application is open you can wander through the listed topics just the same as you would when surfing on the Internet. Just click on any of the underlined items to proceed. If in this latest version of MAC HELP you click on a "Help me change........." item, once again a RED CIRCLE highlights the area a particular step refers to. Just proceed thru the steps to complete the task

The above information is only given to you as a hint of what awaits you when you explore Apple's "Mac Help" application....The only way for you to fully understand how all of this works is to try it for yourself... Remember,
"Mac Help" Is Just a Mouse Click Away...
